DESCRIPTION: The kite is a very good all round performer that flies in winds 6kph up to 25kph. The workshop demands an average level of skill.

SIZE OF KITE: The kite s a little over 2M in width and has 2 x 3M tails. There are 3 (or 4) colours in the head.

DURATION OF CLASS: the time needed is 8 hours, or a full day.

COST: $80 Ausd

GENERAL COMMENTS: The kite uses a number of different construction techniques to achieve the finished piece. There is an appliqué component, an Organza handling component and there is a unique triple dihedral concept. The participants require a functional sewing machine and related sewing items. The skill level needed is average. All hardware and fabric is supplied and is such a form that the kite can be finished in the approximate time. There is a simple colour workshop manual so participants can finish the project at a later date General workshop kite making tools will be needed for the class to use as a whole.

NOTE: The Alternative Graphics is an option available where there is less work involved. There are 4 colours in the head and there is no overlapping of fabrics in the appliqué area. This would be ideal for those who feel finishing a full project in the workshop too challenging, or where 8 hours are the absolute maximum time available.
